Galaxy Eyes Photon Dragon Rises!
Here's another card of the day: Galaxy Eyes Photon Dragon! Just for the sake of time, we'll just call him Galaxy Eyes. Anyway Galaxy Eyes is a handy creature indeed; when he battles at any time, you can remove this card and the monster that he attacked from play! He returns at the end of the turn this effect is used, but the other monster stays removed! Plus if he removes an xyz monster, he gains 500 ATK for each xyz material the monster had when it was removed! Not bad at all. Sure, you have to sacrifice two monsters with 2000 ATK or more to special summon this card, but with his effect, it's well worth it. Other than that, he's a level 8 dragon type monster with 3000 ATK and 2500 DEF. Sound familiar? Kaiba's Blue-Eyes White Dragon had the EXACT same stats! What's more, the rival in the new Yu-Gi-Oh series is going to use him soon, so be sure to watch it! I know I will! That's all from my little corner of the world for today. So until next time, happy dueling!

Baby Tiragon...Cute or Deadly?
Here's day two of the group: "Baby Tiragon". Like "Utopia" the day before, he is an xyz monster that requires three level one monsters to be summoned. Being a rank one card with 900 ATK and DEF, he doesn't seem to pose much of a threat. His effect makes up for it, however. With it, you can send one xyz material monster on him to the graveyard and select one level one monster you have to attack your opponent directly. That effect doesn't make "Tiragon" sound like a threat, but there are cards that decrease levels to benefit. For example, the monster "Gagaga Magician" can reduce his level from any level between one and eight once per turn. 1500 damage directly to your opponent is very handy! To keep "Tiragon" out, use cards like "Sakeretsu Armor" and "Mirror Force" to stop your opponent's attacks. Happy dueling!

The Beginning of Utopia
This is my first post on this blog, so let's start it out with "Number 39: Utopia"! This guy sure is handy; first off, to summon this xyz (pronounced exceed) monster, you have to overlay the required monsters from what each one specifies. "Utopia" specifies two level four monsters, so those two monsters are placed below him and act as xyz material monsters, which can dramatically increase these monsters' strength. Another difference with "Utopia" is he has a rank, not a level! Ranks are new with xyz monsters and cards that focus on levels (like "Gravity Bind" and "Burden of the Mighty") have no effect on them. Either way, back to "Utopia". His effect states that when ANY monster declares an attack, he can send one of those xyz material monsters from him to the graveyard to negate the attack. With "Utopia's" ability, he can do that twice due to having to xyz material monsters on him. Unfortunately he gets destroyed if he gets targeted for an attack while he has no xyz material monsters on him, but there is a way around that! Another card called "Utopian Aura" has a main focus on him. With "Utopian Aura", if you send one xyz material on a monster to the graveyard, it protects "Utopia" from being destroyed from his own effect! Otherwise, he's a 2500 beatdown, so I would recommend him if you can bring out level four monsters easy. That's all from me; until next week, happy dueling!
